If all you here in a day is that at 5pm the world is coming to end you might just start to believe it. All the news talks about is how bad off we are. Now I think that is the truth to a certain point and things need to be done in order to get us out of the mess that we are in. However I do not believe that is all that we need to hear about day after day. Also if that is all people hear then they tend to make hasty decisions and sometimes make the situation worse then it already is. The economy hurts more then just the wallet because when it comes to money people tend to get very worried, depressed, anxious or sometimes all of the above. The USA can over come the problem we are in but it is important to not over react and make hasty decisions.

Antioxidants are interesting if you take the time to understand them. Some companies sell antioxidant supplements, but the best sources are wholesome foods you eat as a part of a colorful diet. To get some idea of how important antioxidants are, it is necessary to find out about something called free radicals.

Free radicals are oxygen molecules that have gone through a process that puts an electric charge on them. Sometimes this charge is caused by environmental pollutants such as smog, cigarette smoke, or radiation. Once the oxygen molecules are charged, they react with the body’s cells, incorporating some of the other molecules’ electrons into their own outer electron ring.

Without the help of antioxidants, the free radicals get started and a chain reaction ensues. The damage can become extensive through many cells, including the membranes of the cells, and even the DNA. Through more of this oxidative stress occurs, when free radicals become so overwhelming to the system that widespread damage and disease take over.

Some of the diseases and conditions that can be caused by exposure to too many free radicals are: heart disease, cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, Alzheimer’s, and many other diseases associated with aging. Free radicals even damage the skin. However, antioxidants can stop the damage of free radicals.

It was a great idea to make everybody have a nutrition label on their products. The problem with it is that people don’t stop to pay attention to what they say. For a example a food can claim that it contains no trans fat if it makes the serving sizes small enough. Companies also manipulate the amount of calories for serving sizes. When you go to buy a package of cookies next time take a look at the serving size. I bet you will find it is about 2 cookies. Now be honest. Who only eats 2 tiny cookies at a sitting. So buyer beware. Nutrition labels are good but you have to be willing to be honest with yourself about how much you will eat at a time and then do a little math to get a correct reading.

The Michigan Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (MAPI) was founded in 1976 by a small group of gallant physicians of Indian origin. These founders defined and structured this organization as the first to support the international medical graduates of Indian origin. MAPI soon evolved into a larger entity as additional Indian physicians dedicated their time to the worthy causes of MAPI. In 1982, MAPI gave birth to a larger umbrella organization, the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI), a national professional organization.

MAPI focuses primarily on issues surrounding practice of medicine by its members. It conducts educational activities through various professional channels and Continuing Medical Education (CME) meetings. Past speakers have included renowned physicians and high-ranking officers of various national medical associations, political leaders, and financial executives.

MAPI officers and members have voiced their opinions at both state and national levels. In addition, they have participated in medical associations throughout county and state levels in Michigan as well as at the national level in Washington D.C. Its members have consistently exhibited their abilities and reliance in various organizations including MAPI, AAPI, the Michigan State Medical Society (MSMS), and the American Medical Association (AMA).

Credit is something that has always come in handy. In today’s age however if you do not have good credit it can hurt your wallet a lot more then you think. It could not only effect your chances of buy a house or a car but also cause your insurance to go up hurt your chances to get a cell phone and more. I am not sure how credit went from something that we use every once in a while to something that effects our everyday life. So now more then ever we have to keep a close eye on how we treat our credit, because a little mistake today can cause big problems tomorrow. Several people have many different theories on how consumers should handle their credit in order to get the best results. One of the biggest problems with that is which one do you trust. To bad the people telling you how to manage your credit don’t show you theirs. Could you even imagine if you took credit advice from someone who had a credit score of 500? In my opinion the best advice is the simplest. Below are some key points that I think are nothing more then common sense and if followed would allow some one to have a great credit score.

* If you have credit with someone pay your bills on time.

* Don’t spend more then you can afford.

* Don’t keep high balances on your credit cards.

* More is not always better when it comes to the amount of credit card you have.
